It improved the ideas of the first game by a huge amount. Now the train run away from you and you have to find it and catch it after some intense chase. In the first game, the train was very easy to catch, the challenge was only about making a huge train, which made the game very boring. The first game (Pac-man Championship Edition) always had this mechanics, but now they changed it a little bit. The pac-man goes out of the maze and start to eat the train in the three dimensional space, which gives some interesting visual effects. After a few runs through the maze, a power pellet appears and you are able to score big points by eating the whole train, which is a very fun to thing to do. To score big points, you should get near some sleepy ghosts, and then you wake them up and add them to a train. This generates some interesting dynamics and make the game very challenging, and yet you don't really die all the time. The little ghost will start to get pissed (if you touch him too much), basically you will bouce off him, and after a few touches, it will become angry and start to chase you. The game is basically a collection of pac-man maps, but played very fast, and to make this work, you don't really die if you touch the ghost. But this new version try to avoid this predictability by adding a few new elements and I should say that they work really well and are very fun to play! It was too predictable, it was almost like that old snake game (for old cell phones), in the form of a pac-man.
